CBT Therapist, Psychologist, part-time

Based in Aberdeen, £40,000 - £70,000 pro-rata

First Psychology Aberdeen is part of First Psychology Scotland - one of the largest independent providers in Scotland of psychological therapy and counselling services to individuals and organisations. Our mission is to 'inspire wellbeing' and the successful candidate will join a team of around 70 practitioners throughout Scotland from a diverse range of backgrounds sharing a desire to offer a highly professional and effective service to our clients.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled, professional and experienced self-employed CBT practitioner or applied psychologist able to offer CBT (clinical or counselling) to join us in offering up to four clinics per week based in our Aberdeen Centre (there may a possibility of also working in Dundee). A preparedness to offer an evening and/or a Saturday clinic is essential although precise times and days of work will be as agreed.

We are looking for a practitioner in the field of CBT, or applied psychology who holds professional registration (or accreditation) with a relevant body, or who is working towards this. The successful candidate will be confident and able to work independently but have a collaborative ethos and be able to work as part of a team in an professional setting.

First Psychology is a pluralistic organisation and we particularly welcome applications from practitioners with skills or an interest in working using a range of therapeutic models and modalities. We have an active practitioner community and run in-house peer support/supervision networks, practitioner forums, CPD courses and partnership conferences each year. Rates of pay for this role ranges from £36 to £66 per hour (on a self-employed basis), and will depend on background and experience.
