Roger is an experienced BACP registered psychological therapist and senior couples therapist who works with individuals and couples and offers a principled, straightforward approach to therapy. He works with a wide range of personal issues and difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, loss, trauma, relationships and self confidence. His work with couples covers problems such as communication, trust, and the impact of traumatic events such as loss, life transitions, and infidelity.
Roger has a first class honours degree in psychology and a degree in pharmacology. His counselling qualifications include a postgraduate diploma and certificate in person centred counselling, and specialist training in working with couples on a range of relationships issues. He also provides supervision to other counsellor/psychotherapists as well as those in training.
Prior to joining First Psychology Aberdeen, Roger worked in a range of settings including NHS primary care, higher education and employee assistance programmes. He also ran his own successful independent practice for a number of years. Before training as a counsellor/psychotherapist Roger worked overseas with people from diverse societies, cultures and nationalities. This stimulated an enduring interest about how people meet the challenges and crises in their lives and their relationships with others.
Roger charges £85 a session for self-funded clients. He also works with clients referred via their employer/organisation – for further details, please visit First Psychology Assistance.
- Roger also works as an online Psychological Therapist and Senior Couples Therapist at First Psychology Online.
