Andrea Caci is a counsellor/psychotherapist who works with individual adults (16+) with a wide range of concerns and problems, including: anxiety; depression/low mood; stress; abuse; ADHD; Autism Spectrum Disorder; anger; bereavement/grief; dissociation; gender and sexual identity; life transitions; loneliness; neglect; personality disorders; phobias; relationship issues; trauma and many more issues.


Andrea has a special interest in supporting clients struggling with issues related to discrimination, trauma and self-esteem. He is skilled in providing tailored support to neurodivergent people.
 

Andrea's way of working

Andrea is a compassionate practitioner who works in a person-centred way, tailoring his approach to each individual's needs and preferences. He uses a range of evidence-based approaches in his therapy work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychotherapy and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Where helpful for the client, he may utilise techniques from his somatic therapy training. Andrea aims to provide everyone he sees with practical strategies for working through their concerns and improving their wellbeing.

Andrea is fluent in Italian and is happy to work with clients who feel more comfortable speaking in this language.
 

Andrea's background and training

Andrea's professional experience spans clinical, community and private settings. He has experience delivering personalised plans and providing community-based interventions across the full recovery journey. He has worked as an assistant psychologist in a hospital setting and carried out direct support work with adults with learning disabilities.

Andrea holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from The Centre of Therapy & Counselling Studies Edinburgh and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Palermo University, Italy. In addition, he holds a Higher National Diploma in Somatic Counselling from the National Association of Emigrant Families (ANFE), Palermo. Andrea has also completed training in ADHD support with PESI UK.

Andrea is a member of Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA). He is also a member of the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Therapies (BABCP).

Andrea's fee
